About Michael

Michael started his music career as a music journalist with Inpress Magazine in 1988 before joining Warner Music Australia as a promotions manager in 1990. In the early years of his tenure at Warners he was fortunate enough to work and help build the careers of such acts as The Red Hot Chili Peppers and REM.

In 1992 he joined IMAGO Records as General Manager, Australia under the guidance and mentorship of John Woodruff to assist in building the careers of The Baby Animals and Henry Rollins.

In 1994 he re-joined Warners as Head of Artist Development breaking the likes of Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, NIN, Primus and Marilyn Manson before moving in to A&R.

Between 1996 and 1999, he signed and guided the careers of Regurgitator, The Superjesus and The Whitlams.

Between 2000-2002, Parisi set up SPUTNIK RECORDS, a joint venture with Mushroom Records. His first signing MUSE (an unknown UK three piece) went on to be signed by Mushroom Records UK for the world. His other signings in this period- 28 Days, motorace and Machine Gun Fellatio- went on to have major chart and sales success before he was appointed as Managing Director of Festival Mushroom Records.

From 2002-2008, he was in charge of a roster that included the likes of Kylie Minogue (who re-signed to Mushroom), AC DC and The Alberts Music catalogue, Disney Hollywood Records, Richard Bransons's V2 Records , Garbage, Ash, MUSE and local success stories George, Eskimo Joe, Gyroscope and Gabriella Cilimi (whom he discovered and signed to Island Records UK).

In 2009, Michael started Michael Parisi Management, and WUNDERKIND, a new label in conjunction with Warner Music.

Michael’s current roster includes Owl Eyes, Stonefield and Boy In A Box, all of whom are destined for long and successful careers.

About Jacqui

Jacqui Wilson has a BA degree in PR and has clocked up about eight years experience with a background in music and entertainment publicity, artist management, and corporate PR. During this time she has worked on a variety of projects from major artist album releases and tours and national music festivals, to boutique festivals and indie acts and at one stage dog food.

Jacqui began with Michael Parisi Management in April 2009 and in her role as Michael's Executive Assistant/ Sidekick works across all arms of the business including A&R, Event Creation & Management and Artist Management as well as managing in house publicity.

Deciding she wasn't quite manically busy enough, in late 2009 Jacqui stepped into Artist Management shoes, co-managing Owl Eyes with Michael, guiding her from a virtual unknown to one of the country's hottest upcoming artists.

Unfortunately Jacqui Wilson is not a famous soul singer, but she does like to pretend that Van Morrison song is about her.

Boy In A Box

Tobias Priddle is the 23-year-old behind the glistening riot-pop anthems of Boy In A Box. Think The Clash, Springsteen and hints of a young Midnight Oil. Add to that Tobias’s lyrics, rallying cries for change, freedom, letting go of old ideas and throwing caution to the dogs. Mix it together with Tobias’s brylcreem vocal and you start to get an idea of what Boy In A Box are about. Artist Profile.

Black Water Rising

It all started in a shed on a family hobby farm in a tiny rural township just north of Melbourne. The four Findlay sisters, Amy, Hannah, Sarah and Holly, who'd go on to become the earthen psych-rock opal that is Stonefield, had been granted their wish of a drum kit by their parents, whose Zappa, Hendrix and Zeppelin records had long been the shared soundtrack of the household.
