Michael has been in the music industry for 25 years. He began is career in promotions for Warner Music working with the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, REM, Madonna and K.D. Lang to name but a few.
In the mid 90's, he became A&R manager for Warner Music Australia signing and guiding the likes of Regurgitator, The Superjesus and The Whitlams.
In 2000, Michael started his own label, Sputnik Records. His first signing was an unknown UK act called MUSE who have gone on to sell millions of albums worldwide. The Sputnik years also saw the likes of 28 Days, Motor Ace and George have #1 albums in Australia.
In 2002 Michael became managing director of Festival Mushroom Records. He worked very closely with artists like Kylie Minogue, Garbage, and AC-DC. In this period Michael also signed and guided the careers of Ekimo Joe, Katie Noonan, Gyroscopem Scribe, Ladyhawke, Daniel Merriweather and Gabriella Cilmi, the latter three going on to have considerable international success.
In 2009, Michael start his own company, Michael Parisi Management, and WUNDERKIND, a new label in conjunction with Warner Music.
Michael's current roster includes Owl Eyes, Stonefield, Boy In A Box and Caterina Torres, all of whom are destined for long and successful careers.

PART 1. The Truth About 'Me'.
How do I become an artist? What kind of artist do I want to be? We discuss the process of working out what you want to be. We delve into your personal psyche and create a personal and professional profile. We will also create a personal mission statement.
PART 2. The Plan.
As an aspiring artist or industry professional, you need to have a long-term plan. We will design a 5-year plan for you that takes you from short term objectives to mid range goals and ultimate desires.
PART 3. The Process.
How do you achieve your goals? If you are an aspiring artist, how do you connect with your audience and the industry? We discuss everything from how to connect with prospective employers to what you can expect when you do connect.
PART 4. The Execution.
Who do I target in the industry? How do I target them? What are the "Must Dos" and "Must Don'ts"? We also discuss the recording of a demo and having a proper plan for the distributionof that demo to the industry.
At the end of 2012 Michael will be producing an industry sampler of all of the students who go on to record a demo as part of this course.
